Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to interview Jonte Moaning—a true dance icon whose humility and warmth have left an indelible mark on me both personally and professionally.
A Journey of Passion and Dedication
Born on October 9, 1985, in Portland, Oregon, Jonte embarked on his dance journey at the tender age of 13 with the Oregon Ballet Theatre. His passion for dance led him to make a pivotal move to New York City after high school, where he trained under the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. This rigorous training laid the foundation for a remarkable career that has spanned continents and genres.
From the moment I reached out to Jonte, I knew this project would be special. Despite his hectic schedule and the myriad of demands that come with his status, Jonte approached our collaboration with a genuine openness that is rare in the industry.
